Crisis on Infinite Oerths

There are a few points where the multiversal barriers are thin. Through these it is possible to travel from one alternate multiverse to another without suffering the trials of passing through the intervening Far Realm and The Bleed.
One of these points is the planet Oerth in Greyspace. Oerth is a nexus point. It has five known shadow selves – Oerth, Aerth, Yarth, Uerth and Earth. More than ten thousand other worlds connect to one or more of these shadow selves. Among these connections, Oerth features most prominently, having the most direct and indirect connections to other alternate multiverses. As a consequence, control of Oerth would secure a strategic nexus point from which further gains might be more easily made.
The planets differ in both their geographies as well as the relative presence of magic. From least to most magical they include Earth (d20 Modern), Uerth, Yarth (Urban Arcana), Aerth (moderate magic), then Oerth (high magic).
Each of these worlds exists on a different vibratory plane in a different multiverse, and almost certainly each is surrounded by a different arrangement of planes. In some cases these alternate Oerths are lynch-pins in even greater arrays of parallel dimensions. Earth is the next largest nexus after Oerth as it has at least 52 known alternates of it’s own.
Now a mysterious force is moving through reality, destroying all life in its path. As it passes it leaves the shattered remnants of dead multiverses in it’s wake. Fragments of planes subliming into vapor as the very concepts they represented are wiped from existence.
Now the Planejammers and thousands of other heroes across the vibrational barriers are confronted with their greatest challenge: stopping this inter-dimensional threat before it destroys all life everywhere! If they fail thousands of entire multiverses and untold trillions of living beings will die.
